Ken was raised in Brighton, Colorado, and graduated from Colorado State University with a B.A. degree in Industrial Construction Management. He was active in the B.P.O. Elks Lodge in Brighton and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Fort Lupton, Colorado. In 1969, Ken came to Brunswick as a naval officer and pilot. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in early 1972. He then joined the ranks of the Bailey Island lobstermen for several years, following which he constructed private homes in the Harpswell area as an owner/partner of Betts and Lynch, Custom Home Builders.
Ken joined Morton Real Estate in November of 1993. He has recently completed the necessary requirements to obtain his Graduate, REALTOR Institute designation, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation, and has advanced to become a member of the Million Dollar Guild.
Ken is the 2006 Past-President of the Merrymeeting Board of Realtors and a life and charter member of the Maine Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elks Foundation, for which he has served as banquet chairman since 2000. In 2012 he was chosen as RMEF Volunteer of the Year for New York and the New England States. Currently he is RMEF Northeastern States Volunteer Chair overseeing six RMEF Chapters in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. After living in Harpswell for 40 years, now resides in Brunswick, Maine.
His background in construction enables him to assist buyers and sellers in recognizing structural strengths, weaknesses as well as opportunities with properties offered on the market. His many talents and extensive knowledge of the area are of significant benefit to buyers and sellers alike.
